A Night of Musical Theatre, Broadway Stars, and Jewish History
Tuesday, November 12th, 7 PM
See Eddie Korbich, Drama Desk nominee from THE DROWSY CHAPERONE and FIDDLER ON THE ROOF’s Michael Bernardi and more Broadway stars perform a staged reading of “Sacrifices – A New Musical About Ancient Times.” A staged reading of a musical is a well-rehearsed, live performance with instrumental accompaniment, but without sets or costumes.
Set in first-century Jerusalem, the musical brings to the stage a story of something that the Jewish people gave at a moment of their greatest despair. The transition from animal sacrifices to a spirituality of introspection and personal responsibility was a paradigm shift that still impacts all major religions of the world today.
